Meet our Team
We have a highly experienced and professional childcare team of eight staff, all of whom are professionally qualified in early years, most qualified at level 3. There is a minimum of 5 staff present at every session and, with a maximum of 26 children attending each session, this provides an adult-to-child ratio of just under 1:4 or better. Each child has a key person, a special member of staff, who forms a special bond with your child and works with you to help your child settle in and to support their development and progress. Your key person also maintains your child’s ‘Learning Journey’on Tapestry, which is a record comprising written observations, photographs and examples of their activities, achievements and progress at pre-school.

MANAGER
I manage the day-to-day running of the pre-school. I am responsible for safeguarding, health and safety, staff management, monitoring the children’s progress and long-term planning. I really love spending time with my grandchildren.
Gina
DEPUTY / KEY PERSON
I help behind the scenes by organising special activities for celebrations like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Christmas.
I am the Tapestry lead. I love working with the children to help them to use numbers in their play.
Emily
KEY PERSON/SENCo
I am the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator and support staff, working with children who may need special help at pre-school.
I enjoy playing with the children in the garden.
Kathryn
REGISTRAR / BOOKKEEPER
I look after the waiting list for admission to pre-school and organise which sessions children attend. I also look after all the pre-school finances.
I enjoy reading stories and making the children laugh. I am the longest-serving member of the staff!

I have the special job of looking after the dressing-up clothes and doing the pre-school shopping.
I really enjoy doing cooking activities with the children and helping them to prepare interesting snacks.

I am the behaviour co-ordinator at pre- school.
I really enjoy chatting with the children, doing jigsaw puzzles and playing games.

My daughter came to Bevan Lodge, and I was part of the committee.
I enjoy being outside with the children and doing arts, crafts, and getting messy.

KEY PERSON
I have two children of my own, and I enjoy spending time with them. I really enjoy playing in the sand, making sandcastles, painting, as well as reading stories to the children at pre-school.
